Routine inspection of lifeboat release hooks

Routine inspection of lifeboat release hooks

The word security is a concern for everyone, so to speak. Many people go all out to make money. In addition to vanity, most people also go for the word safety, because with money, many things are no longer so difficult to solve. A lot of times safety is a psychological function, but there is danger everywhere in our daily life, everyone is the same. When you're ready to go out to sea, if it's psychologically reassuring to have a lifeboat, it's a sign of safety. However, there are still many unsafe places in the safety inspection of lifeboats, especially the release hook of lifeboats. Daily inspection must pay attention to the following points.

1. First, make sure that the release hook is in the normal position. If the hook does not return to its position after use, the hook handle should not be in its normal position, and any indicator should not indicate a normal reset state. If a release hook does not come back and indicates a reset, make a special check to see what might be wrong.

2. Confirm whether the hook body will automatically open because of the load, which should not occur. Now to prevent this from happening, most lifeboats are double-insured at the time of production. Even if the lifeboat is already on the surface of the water, the handle does not allow it to detach directly. A safety lock is needed to activate the release hook.

3. Pay attention to check whether the hydrostatic pressure device can work normally. According to the previous inspection experience, the inlet pipe of the hydrostatic pressure device is often blocked, which may affect the normal operation of the lifeboat.

4. Make sure that the protection on board is set in a normal position. If this protection is not in its proper position, it may cause the lifeboat to disengage as it is being pulled back.
